Bosnian Rainbows (feat. The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez) announce tour

With The Mars Volta currently on hiatus, Omar Rodríguez-López has formed a new band called Bosnian Rainbows. Initially called the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, Bosnian Rainbows also includes Mars Volta drummer Deantoni Parks, as well as Teri Gender Bender and Nicci Kasper. The group will release their debut studio album sometime next year and have set a 13-date North American tour for next February. That tour will stop in Philadelphia on February 18th for a show at the First Unitarian Church. Tickets are on sale now. Full tour dates are below.

As for The Mars Volta, despite releasing a new album earlier this year, it doesn’t look like we’ll be hearing from them anytime soon. Rodriquez-Lopez states on his website: “Don’t ask me about any other band or whether they’re touring. This is my new band and it’s what we’re all concentrating on now.”
