Dawes announce new album, Stories Don’t End

By way of RollingStone.com, Dawes have announced that they will self-release their third LP, Stories Don’t End, on April 9th. The album was produced by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Norah Jones) and recorded over five weeks last year in Asheville, North Carolina. As Rolling Stone notes, King “helped the band break out of its vintage mold, though they don’t completely strip away that Laurel Canyon sound.”

Expect Dawes to spend a great majority of the year on the road in support of the record, which you can read more about here. In the meantime, you can join in our excitement by looking back at some of their most recent Philly shows. They played at the XPoNential Music Festival last summer and helped World Cafe celebrate 20 years in the fall of 2011–right after putting on amazing show at the TLA two nights earlier.
