Julia Holter premieres new video & announces tour, playing Underground Arts (new Philly venue)

Julia Holter has released a new video for “Moni Mon Amie” from her new album Ekstasis, which is available now via RVNG. Holter has also announced a short North American tour, which will begin on April 16th in Arden, Delaware and find its way to Philly the next night. In Philly, Holter will play at Underground Arts, a new and still-developing performance venue in the basement of the Wolf Building at 1200 Callowhill Street. Here’s a little bit about the venue, straight from their “about” page:

Underground Arts offers a setting for a wide variety of performance types – theater, performance art, music, comedy, poetry, dance, etc. We intend to host visual artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers, installation artists, etc.) concurrent with performances in order to offer a more fully realized arts experience. The ultimate goal of Underground Arts is to provide an outlet for talented, emerging, often experimental, struggling artists to have their voices heard, develop a following and, ultimately, to be able to make their livings from their art. To achieve this, Underground Arts has committed to making the venue available entirely free of charge to the artists.

Tickets for the Philly show go on sale this Friday at noon; more information can be found here. Tickets for her Delaware gig are available now. Below, check out the new video, directed by Yelena Zhelezov, along with Holter’s tour schedule.
