The Philadelphia Folk Festival took over the Old Pool Farm in Schwenksville, Pa., this past weekend for another successful edition of the long-running music celebration. As often happens after a festival, a few of the artists that played the event have already announced shows in the area. And this time in particular, The Ardmore Music Hall is the place to carry the festival’s torch. Loudon Wainwright III, Steep Canyon Rangers, Janis Ian and Mutlu all played at the folk festival and will play at The Ardmore Music Hall this fall.
Wainwright III will play there on Friday, October 10; Steep Canyon Rangers on Saturday, November 8; Janis Ian on Thursday, November 20; and Mutlu (with Philly Folk Fest alums Hezekiah Jones and Sean Hoots) on Saturday, November 22. Tickets for all of these shows are on sale now via TicketFly.
John Flynn, another of this year’s PFF performers, will play at the Steel City Coffehouse on Friday, October 24. Tickets are available here.
