New Music: Bosnian Rainbows – “Torn Maps”

After putting The Mars Volta on hiatus, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is focusing on his new band, Bosnian Rainbows, with Mars Volta drummer Deantoni Parks, Teri Gender Bender and Nicci Kasper. The group recorded their debut full-length last year in Germany and expect to release later this year on Sargent House, though details remain sparse. They have just released the first taste of recorded music as a band—a song called “Torn Maps” that you can stream below.

Bosnian Rainbows will set out on a 13-date tour next month, stopping in Philadelphia on Monday, February 18th to play at the First Unitarian Church. Tickets are available here.
