On a weekly basis, NPR’s First Listen series is making Monday mornings a little bit easier to handle. This week, they’re offering up three new album streams to warm you up on this cold President’s Day.
Sweden’s Shout Out Louds return with their first album in three years, finally following up 2010’s Work with OPTICA on February 26th. After hearing a couple of new songs from the record over the last month or so, you can now hear the full album here. Sonic Youth’s always-busy Thurston Moore has a new band called Chelsea Light Moving, and their new self-titled album comes out on March 5th via Matador Records. Joining Moore in his new band is Keith Wood (guitar), Samara Lubelski (bass), and John Moloney (drums). Hear their new album here. Finally, Philly native Bilal will be releasing his new album A Love Surreal next week, following up 2010’s Airtight’s Revenge. He recently celebrated the upcoming release with a show at World Cafe Live. Stream the album here.
