TONIGHT: Toy Soldiers @ Kung Fu Necktie with Goodnight, Texas and August John Lutz II

Tonight we are very excited to present you a show at Kung Fu Necktie. Please note that it is an early show, starting at 7:30 sharp with August John Lutz II (of Levee Drivers) and finishing up at 10:30 with a lively set from Philly’s Toy Soldiers. In between, one of our favorite out-of-town bands (hailing from North Carolina and San Francisco), Goodnight, Texas, will be performing. Tickets will be available at the door for $12; we recommend getting there early to make sure you get in and to catch the amazing openers.

Over the past few weeks we have profiled each of these bands in case you need some persuasion. You can read about Toy Soldiers and their upcoming record, The Maybe Boys, here; read about Goodnight, Texas and their brilliant debut, A Long Life of Living, here; and read about August Lutz and what’s to come for the Levee Drivers here.

Also, check out a brand new live video of Toy Soldiers playing “Tell the Teller” and “Forget How It Used to Be,” both of which will be on their new album, below. It was filmed at their holiday show at World Cafe Live on December 22, 2012 and gives you a pretty good idea of just how much freakin’ fun tonight is going to be.

Finally, if you do find yourself at the show tonight, stop by the merch stand for a free Swollen Fox beer koozie, because music and beer together just feels right.

Hope to see you there!
